Sass Brown, professor the Fashion Institute of Technology New York and a fashion activist, author of the book “Eco Fashion”, is interested in championing those who have adapted existing commercial models to a more sustainable model. Brown championed a range of companies that she felt were exploding the myth that sustainable design is bad design, or just basic design. Through highlighting the range of companies producing desirable and well-designed apparel, she felt that she was part of a general shift in the ethical outlook of consumer culture.
